Return Policy

We carefully inspect every item before it ships. However if you should find a defect in our products, or if you are not satisfied with what we sent you, we offer a 30 day cash refund on *stock items sold through our catalog. Our company must be notified within two weeks of initial ship date and parts must be returned with an explanation, in as new condition, within 30 days of the initial ship date. You will be refunded in full, less shipping/handling costs and credit card fees incurred by our company.

If you wish to return a part after 30 days, and up until 90 days, you will receive a merchandise credit slip that can be used to purchase any stock items in our catalog (no special order or non-stock items). A 25% restock fee will be deducted from the credit. All sales are final after 90 days.

Returns of certain items such as component rebuild kits and hardware assembly kits that are furnished with detailed proprietary information sheets and/or detailed installation/assembly instructions, will be subject to 35% restocking fee. No exceptions.  

Return of items within 30 days that a customer incorrectly ordered by his own error, simply changed his mind about, or as a result of making incorrect assumptions, will be subject to a 35% restock fee. No exceptions. The time required to prepare the paperwork and ship an order runs roughly an hour on average. Then the paperwork required to process returns and put items back into stock runs into a second hour at the very least.

Return of rebuild and hardware kits that have a lot of parts in them: The problem this situation creates is once a kit leaves here we cannot put it back in stock without spending a lot of time to make sure all the parts are there. Many of the kits we sell (IE: Carb Rebuild kits, Hardware Assembly  Kits) are comprised of a lot of small parts that will have to be hand inspected and sorted one piece at a time. This takes a great deal of time. Normally these kits are made in larger quantities to amortize the set-up work over many customers. By the time you factor in the return shipping costs, the 35% restocking fee, and the labor time required to check each in every part in the kit at our $70 per hour shop rate you will probably wind up owing us money! Unfortunately this problem makes these kits essentially un-returnable.

*Sales are final on all special order items, rebuild and hardware kits with a lot of small parts. Return policy does not apply. (Example: Upholstery Materials, Special Dye Lots, Many Hardware and Rebuild Kits.)

*Merchandise credit slips are only valid if you submit the original hand written copy that was filled out in blue ink. You must treat this document as cash. It will have an expiration date of one year from the time it was issued.
