Fellow Cadillac Enthusiasts,
Big changes are in the works here at Mastermind Inc. Over the past 35 years we have tried our best to provide close personal service along with very high quality products. However at this time radical change has become necessary for us to continue to operate efficiently. During the past 10-15 years it has become physically impossible to respond to the tremendous number of telephone and e-mail messages that we receive.
For a very long time there have simply been far more messages coming in than one person could possibly reply to in a timely fashion. Almost all of which are asking specific questions that require very customer specific, and extremely time-consuming, written replies. I could type e-mails, and reply to phone messages, 24/7 and never keep up! Needless to say we have many frustrated customers because of this problem!
Until we can find a better solution effective immediately, and until further notice, we will no longer be able to accept incoming phone messages, or reply to some e-mail messages. We will instead be responding only to orders generated through our periodic e-mail promotions, through our new website shopping cart system, and/or specific orders that come in through our regular e-mail. To get to our new web site you will have to type our web address, www.mastermindinc.net, into your browser. Otherwise Google will direct you to the old site.
Those of you waiting for us to deliver a part, or waiting on a reply, please be assured that we have not forgotten about you. We are always working as fast as humanly possible and will notify you when your item is ready to ship, or is back in stock.
I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you but with any luck this drastic change will help us deliver what you need more efficiently. Meanwhile we plan to consistently add content to the website that should eventually help answer most of your questions. From now on we will be communicating with our customers mostly by e-mail, website updates, and YOU TUBE videos, as various parts become available. If you are not currently on our e-mail list, but would like to be added, please let us know.
Soon I plan to semi-retire and slowly over time take a less active role in the day to day operation of the business. (Only going to work 8 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week instead of the 12-14 hours a day 6-7 days a week I have been doing for decades!)
Over the next few years I hope to make one more run of many items that are currently out of stock, and make the rest of the parts required to finish my cars! (That is what started all this madness in the first place) I plan to notify my customers by e-mail when various items have been, or are going to be done, for the last time before I retire completely. Going forward this will be something like what the instructor at the suicide bomber school might say to his class "Watch closely because I am only going to do this once!"
I will keep what I need for my cars. Then the rest will be for sale until the parts run out. Once the parts are gone they will be gone, unless someone decides to take up the task and carry on where I left off. Thank you very much for your interest in our products. I am very grateful to all who have supported our efforts over the years. It has been appreciated more than I can express.

PS: Please read the ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS part of our new website. If an item is "live" on the website you can order it through our new shopping cart system. If the item you want is not "live" on the website it can still be added to your cart. It will comeup as zero cost on the invoice so you will not be billed for it, but we will know that you want it. Then we will let you know what can be done about the item/items in question.
You can still order things like custom made upholstery items, rebuilt Airide components, special shop projects like Brougham stainless roof refinishing, etc. However what I will no longer be doing is allowing myself to be constantly rushed to meet dozens of arbitrary deadlines and Cadillac parts emergencies that come up 10x a week. (Please read "Reality TV" on our website) We ask that you now please order custom made, and/or rebuilt items, schedule special projects, etc. very far in advance of when you will actually need them. I still thoroughly enjoy my work and would like to continue doing it for at least a few more years, just no longer wish to be under relentless time-pressure. Thank you.
